Last Updated: 10-15-2025 These Terms of Use, together with our Limited Warranty ("Limited Warranty"), Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy"), and any rules, policies, terms, and conditions referenced or linked herein (collectively, the "Agreement"), form the legal agreement between you ("you") and Car Locator Guy LLC, including its subsidiaries and related service brands (hereinafter referred to as "Car Locator Guy LLC," "we," or "us").

This Agreement governs your access and use of the applications, websites, content, products, programs, and services offered by Car Locator Guy LLC (the "Services"), and includes a binding arbitration agreement for dispute resolution. PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING OR ACCESSING THE SERVICES.

Your access and use of the Services constitute your acceptance of this Agreement. If you do not agree to the Terms, you may not access or use the Services.

Car Locator Guy LLC may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms are effective upon posting. Continued use of the Services after such posting indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.

By accessing the Services, you represent that: (i) you are at least 18 years old, (ii) you are legally authorized to enter into this Agreement, and (iii) if acting on behalf of an organization, you are authorized to bind that organization.

The Services are not available to anyone under 18 or to anyone whose account has been suspended or terminated.

The Services

Car Locator Guy LLC provides a technology platform (“Platform”) that allows users to access a network of vehicle inspectors, auto‑broker partners, and related independent contractors (collectively, “Technicians”), and/or arrange for pre‑purchase inspections, vehicle locating, consulting, and related automobile evaluation services (“Vehicle Services”).

License

Subject to your compliance, we grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services.

Restrictions

You may not:

Copy, modify, or distribute the Services.

Reverse engineer or decompile the Services.

Use the Services in violation of any laws or regulations.

Scrape or data‑mine any portion of the Services.

Attempt unauthorized access to any system or network related to the Services.

Ownership

All content, branding, logos, and intellectual property on the Platform belong to Car Locator Guy LLC or its partners. You may not use our marks without written permission.

Service Availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the Services at any time. You acknowledge that interruptions or technical issues may occur, and Car Locator Guy LLC is not liable for any such disruptions.

Your Use of the Services

User Accounts

To access most Services, you must create an account (“Account”) and provide accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information. Notify us immediately at support@carlocatorguy.com of any unauthorized access.

Scheduling a Job or Inspection

When submitting an inspection request or service request, you must provide accurate information, including the vehicle location, desired date/time, and required service.

You must ensure the Technician has safe and legal access to the vehicle.

If you supply your own parts or information during any service, this may void applicable warranties.

Communication

By using the Services, you consent to receive emails, calls, and messages from Car Locator Guy LLC, including automated messages. You may opt out of promotional messages at any time.

Promotional Codes

Promo codes issued by Car Locator Guy LLC are subject to specific terms and may be disabled, modified, or revoked at any time.

User Content

Any content you submit through the Platform may be used by Car Locator Guy LLC for operational and marketing purposes.

Payment Terms

You authorize Car Locator Guy LLC to charge your selected payment method for all Services. Charges are final and non-refundable unless determined otherwise by us.

Prices may change if additional services or updated work is required.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

All sales are final once submitted. Refunds for cancellations or rescheduling are permitted only as outlined in these Terms.

If the vehicle is sold before an inspection occurs, the amount paid may be applied to a future order.

Inspection‑Specific Terms

Car Locator Guy LLC provides visual-only, non-invasive inspections unless otherwise stated. Reports are opinions based on the Technician’s observations at the time of inspection.

Technicians do not dismantle the vehicle, perform diagnostic scans unless specified, or verify title/ownership history.

Pre‑purchase inspection results are not a warranty, and Car Locator Guy LLC does not guarantee the future condition of any vehicle.

You are solely responsible for all decisions regarding vehicle purchase or use.

Vetting of Technicians

Technicians may undergo background and identity checks. However, Car Locator Guy LLC does not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of a Technician’s identity or skills.

Limited Warranty

Our Limited Warranty is incorporated by reference and may be updated at any time.

Disclaimers

Vehicle History & Inspection Limitations

When we purchase or obtain vehicle history reports such as CARFAX® or AutoCheck®, the information provided is limited to what is currently contained in their databases. Some accidents, damage events, or title issues may not be reported to these services and therefore may not appear in the report.

Some vehicles may have prior accidents, repairs, or body damage that are not disclosed, not visible, or not detectable during our inspection process.

During test drives or operational checks performed by an inspector, customers are strictly prohibited from riding in or accompanying the inspector inside the vehicle for liability and insurance reasons.

After purchasing a vehicle, you are solely responsible for obtaining an extended warranty, service contract, or protection plan from the seller or dealership. Car Locator Guy LLC does not provide or guarantee any post‑purchase warranty coverage.

Car Locator Guy LLC is not responsible or liable if a vehicle fails, breaks down, or experiences mechanical issues after purchase — including immediately after leaving the lot.

You agree to use all information we provide, combined with your own research, due diligence, and any additional third‑party evaluations, to make an informed decision about purchasing a vehicle.

Except as stated in the Limited Warranty, all Services are provided “AS IS,” “AS AVAILABLE,” and “WITH ALL FAULTS.”

Car Locator Guy LLC makes no guarantees regarding:

Accuracy of inspection reports

Technician performance

Availability or uninterrupted access to the Platform

You agree that all risk rests solely with you.

Limitation of Liability

Car Locator Guy LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

Loss of profit

Loss of vehicle value

Inspection inaccuracies

Our total liability will never exceed the amount you paid for the applicable service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Car Locator Guy LLC, its owners, employees, and partners from any claims or damages arising from your use of the Services.

Dispute Resolution / Arbitration

Any dispute relating to the Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration. You waive any right to class-action litigation.

Out-of-State Vehicle Retrieval & Shipping

Fuel Cost Coverage

The $1,000 transport deposit also serves as a fuel and travel deposit, covering the gas required to drive the vehicle back to your destination.

If fuel expenses and transport-related costs do not use the full deposit amount, the unused portion will be refunded to the customer.

Customers will receive an itemized summary of any fuel, repair, or travel deductions applied to the deposit.

Out-of-State Vehicle Retrieval & Shipping

Out-of-State Pickup Deposit & Transport Liability

When a customer requests that Car Locator Guy LLC pick up a vehicle from an out-of-state location and drive it back after the customer signs dealership paperwork, the customer must submit a $1,000 transport deposit.

This deposit is used solely to cover incidental repair or travel expenses if an issue occurs during transport, including but not limited to:

Minor repairs (e.g., tire replacement, oil change, battery failure)

Emergency mechanical issues

Costs necessary to keep the vehicle operational during return travel

If no issues occur during transport and no portion of the deposit is used, the unused portion of the deposit will be refunded to the customer. The deposit itself is not refundable in advance; however, unused funds are returned after trip completion.

If the vehicle becomes undriveable and cannot be safely returned to the customer by road, a portion of the deposit may be used to cover our driver's return flight to the home base. Any remaining deposit balance will be refunded to the customer. Example: if the flight costs $399, the customer will receive the remaining $601 back.

If the customer requests that the vehicle remain at a repair shop for repairs in an area outside our local service region, the customer is responsible for all additional costs, including the driver’s hotel, lodging, and per-diem expenses while waiting for repairs.

If you purchase a vehicle located outside your state, Car Locator Guy LLC may provide a service in which we pick up the vehicle and drive it back to you. Availability of this service depends on location, scheduling, and safety considerations.

If you choose to have your vehicle transported by a third-party shipping or transport company, you acknowledge and agree that Car Locator Guy LLC does not select, contract with, recommend, or arrange shipping companies on your behalf for legal and liability reasons.

Any shipping or transport arrangement you make is solely between you and the shipping provider.

Car Locator Guy LLC is not responsible for any damage, loss, delay, accident, theft, or incident that occurs during transport, including but not limited to:

Truck or trailer accidents

Weather damage

Loading or unloading damage

Mechanical issues during transport

Loss or damage caused by the driver or transport company

All risk associated with third-party transportation rests solely with you and the transport provider. You agree to pursue any claims directly with the shipping company.

Business Transfers

In the event that Car Locator Guy LLC is acquired by, merged with, or sells substantially all of its assets to another company, your information may be transferred to the acquiring or successor entity as part of the transaction. Such entity will assume the rights and obligations described in these Terms, and your information will become subject to their systems, policies, and procedures. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that any successor entity honors the material terms of this Agreement and protects your information in accordance with applicable law.
